Sernapesca recorded the southern elephant seal it calls Trompito at Playa Ramada. The agency attributed the identity to scars on the animal's right side and later monitored it while moulting around Caldera. - Sernapesca's first-quarter 2020 bulletin explicitly dates arrival at Playa Ramada to 25 January 2020 and names Mirounga leonina. Trompito is the source-attributed identity. The later 21 March observation at Playa Pulpito is part of the same monitored stay, not a second animal.
